Payment: £175 Per Show (Day)
Must be able to drive with a valid UK License and own a vehicle
About Us:
Wonder Cinema is an outdoor cinema company that brings families together to enjoy classic films like Elf, Home Alone, and The Greatest Showman. Alongside our main cinema events, we also run Wonder Academy, a creative program where kids can make their own short films to be showcased on the big screen. This role will support both areas of our business, focusing primarily on ticket sales for our cinema events. Our cinema locations span across both Wales and England with a growing customer base of 8000+ ticket holders.
About the Role:
We are looking for a reliable and proactive Site Manager to oversee our Drive-In Cinema events. As a Site Manager, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that each event runs smoothly from start to finish, coordinating with our team, and maintaining communication with directors and venue holders. This role involves both on-site management and virtual communications via WhatsApp to keep the team aligned.
Responsibilities:

Pre-Event Preparation:

Ensure all equipment and stock are loaded into the van.

Conduct pre-event equipment and stock checks, noting any issues.

Coordinate with directors and team via WhatsApp to confirm shifts and responsibilities.

Event Day:
-
Drive the van to the event location.

Lead the setup, commanding the team to assemble the site, including the cinema screen (training provided).

Manage the schedule to ensure the show starts on time.

Oversee traffic management and assist stewards in directing vehicles and attendees.

Deploy security staff as required.

Serve as the main point of contact for venue holders, addressing any needs or concerns.

During the Show:

Ensure attendees receive a speaker and can hear the film clearly.

Monitor the crowd and assist with any issues that arise.

Provide support to stewards and other team members.

Post-Event:
-
Lead the team in safely dismantling and loading equipment.

Conduct a post-event equipment inspection and record any damages or missing items using our app.

Complete a final stock take and sign off on equipment.

Reporting:

Communicate any relevant information to the directors, such as steward performance, team feedback, or incidents.

Recognize staff members who go above and beyond or highlight any areas needing improvement.

Requirements:

Proven experience in event management, logistics, or a similar role.

Ability to work independently and confidently manage a team.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Comfortable using WhatsApp for communication and team coordination.

Ability to handle basic equipment and stock checks (training provided).

Driving license required.
